this powerbook is my first laptop. I use it mostly for music production. My question is: how much abuse can this book take? including the display being open and closed all the time. Can u share some stories? Has there been a time when your book surivived the impossible? I mean, I'm being really careful with it cause it seems a little fragile! is it?
The second thing I would like to ask you is that in my studio I place the powerbook on the same table as my speakers. Are the vibrations bad for the book? How much is ok though? When I place my hand on the table, I feel the bass thumping. Could this damage my book?
Are they built to take a certain amount of wear and tear? Thanks.

Hmm... If you turn the bass up for long periods of time it could damage your hard drive, over time. Then again I am just speculating .

(I can't spell)
