I tried to update one of my existing programs. I download the update: an sit file

when the download is complete, I also get a .mpkg file (my guess is that is the executable file for the update) . However when I click on it I get a
"The installer package could not be opened. The postflight script was either not ececutable or not readble"

what's the deal here? I really need to install this damn update.
Cheers

Update your StuffIt 8 (see Alladin fora for explanation).
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.
