hi guys. I was wondering if there is any way that i would be able to seperate the screen from the powerbook itself. Basically I'm looking for a extended ribbon cable because I want to use the existing powerbook screen rather than buy a monitor. This mod is for a 867 g4 12" powerbook. Thanks.

I would do the same thing in a heart beat.. at least he isnt waisting his time on a crappy PC.

@godraj: Can you use several Phone Cord to make one? Or visit any computer repair shop, i would think any ribbon cable would work. Also there are little clasps for connecting two ribbon cables.. you could get a couple of thoes and a couple ribbon cables and make your own.. also check out Radio Shack... or radioshack.com... they just about any thing.

Good luck and post some pictures if you can!

:Edit: dont waist your time at radio shack..
I googled "long ribbon cable" and got this link.. -> http://www.directron.com/cbl-ide-l.html <- this one is 3 feet long.. and i think you can attach two together to get a 6 foot cable... it might take some re-working but i think you can do it.
