I hope it's out soon... I forgot how freakin ugly Aqua was until I installed Tiger! Damn, and I actually used Brushed Metal from Max as my main theme for a while (when it first came out), but the site of any brushed metal at all now just makes me sick.

I already hacked the brushed metal out of Safari via XTools, but I *NEED* Shapeshifter NOW!!!!

In another thread, smegz0r mentioned that he hoped to have it out by monday. So... All you crazy crazy kids, wait up 'til midnight and BOOOM! BBX!

Kidding of course. It will get hear when it gets here... Until then, satisfy your need to play with the cool image slideshow thingy... it really is amazing.

Tiger's as ugly as a barrel of avocado's pushed through a wood chipper.

If Shapesh*r can fix this thanks and bring us Max's great Aqua tweaks, I'll seriously consider swallowing my pride and buy the damned thing.

Is Teh Steve going blind? UGH.

Gee, if it's out, don't you think you'd see a thread or three on it?

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.

YOU. CAN. THEME. WITHOUT. SS.

What are you waiting on?

SS just puts a GUI on it.

Now there are SOME themes that do REQUIRE SS to look properly.

And SS does a great job of letting themers do such a thing.

But most things, removing things like brushed metal, and stripes etc SS is sort of a overkill IMHO.

Esp if you just use one theme.

When you were impatient enough to install Tiger, you probably knew you had to give up on using themes for "some" time. Well, live with it - there's no fun in your whining
You could have done as I did : stay in a themed Panther. So far I haven't come across anything yet that makes me want Tiger and it's ugly GUI anyway.

Yeah, that's true, but I though SS added a certain level of safety, as IIRC it injects the graphics using APE and doesn't actually replace original files at their original locations?

I may of course be hugely mistaken,

You are correct. Not only is ShapeShifter MUCH safer to theme with, but it's also much easier.

Replacing resource files manually is just silly, and even though I could do it, I refuse to bother with it!

How long does it take you to do this? Per theme?
