I'm new to this whole two finger scrolling thing. I like it except for one thing.
Sometimes when i'm browsing the web with Firefox, i'll be two-finger scrolling and don't know WHAT I do, but I press something to make the browser go back a page. Is there any sort of settings for 'back' and 'forward' on the trackpad? It's so aggravating to be in the middle of a page and then have it change on you.
*Grumble*

P.S. I know how to turn the two finger scrolling all the way off, but i'd like to keep it just for scrolling only.

Well I looked but didn't really find one. Is there a Firefox trackpad setting? If so, guide me there!

Forgot where I found this but here are instructions on what to do:

To change firefox's behavior for horizontal trackpad scrolling (no back/forward when two-finger horizontal scrolling)

* go to about:config (i.e. type it in FireFox' address field)
* set mousewheel.horizscroll.withnokey.action to 0
* set mousewheel.withnokey.sysnumlines to false
* play around with the mousewheel.horizscroll.withnokey.numlines and mousewheel.withnokey.numlines values until you're satisfied with the scrolling speed

You can also disable the horizontal 2 finger scrolling setting in the mouse part of the control panel (actually, in the mac it is called something else, but it escapes my mind right now - system settings? - the icon w/ the light switch thingy in the dock). This will, however, disable 2 finger horizontal scrolling for all apps, which doesn't matter to me. Yes this back/forward thing was killing me w/ firefox too.

Sounds liek you're holding command + whatever or option + whatever, can't remember but one of those modifies and scrolling will do just that.

If you horizontal scroll in Firefox and Camino it will bring your browser forward/backward depending which way you scroll. If you scroll --> it's forward a page <-- is backward a page, 90% of the time you endup jumping back or forward several pages depending on the sensitivity of the track pad.
