When I run a search in Mail, many of the results are from messages I have long since deleted from my computer. When I open one of these results, the message content looks like this:
The message from [address] concerning [subject] has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.
These messages do NOT appear when using an "Entire Message" search; only happens when using "To", "From", or "Subject".
How do I make sure that erased messages do not show up in search results? Thanks.

Do I need to re-index Mail in order to make these results disappear?
To clarify, I am not complaining about the existence of the message "The message from [address] concerning [subject] has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it."
I AM wondering why the "skeletons" of these erased emails (Subject, To, From, etc...whatever they're called) are showing up in search results in the first place.

Thanks for the response, Big Mac. What's the appropriate way to reindex Mail? I've seen Apple's instructions on how to do it, but doing so asks you to Import all your messages... and I've seen horror stories on these forums about reimporting messages. Is there a way to reindex without "reimport"?
