Hi
I need a little help
I have Comcast cable internet connected to my imac. I just got a macbook and want to add a linksys wireless router. No big deal. I connect the cable modem to the router , and the imac to the router. Go into network settings and connect to the web, it works. Here is where I need help.
I reboot the imac and Im greeted with the network assistant. If i skip this I have no web access.
I don’t want to do this every time I boot up. What do I need to do.

fred

I have run into this with wireless locations refusing to correctly connect. Try going into the network System Preference and delete all of the locations.
Next, toss the com.apple.networkConfig.plist file into the Trash, restart. Go back to the Network System Preferences and reestablish a nice, fresh ethernet connection.
