I have noticed something weird... On Apple's MacBook Pro (C2D) web page, it states that the MacBook Pro comes with a Li-Polymer battery. Yet, when I looked at some pictures of the new C2D MBP, I saw a Li-Ion picture.
What gives?

No, they're different technologies, although from an engineering perspective they're both fundamentally 'batteries that use lithium ions', so the nomenclature is a bit confusing.
Can you show us this photo of the C2D with the Li-Ion brand on it?

What 'lithium ion picture'?
The rev A had a Li-Polymer battery too. I think it's safe to assume the rev B's battery is Li-Polymere as well.

Here's a picture of the MacBook Pro battery, where you can see that it says "Li-ion":

All of the specs for the MBPs definitely say that it uses a lithium ion polymer battery. Perhaps they're using Li-ion there because it's a warning label rather than a marketing name or list of features -- it's just saying 'this is a lithium ion type battery'.

Exactly.
Also, the Apple store does not list different types of 15" MBP batteries. There's only one. So I'd guess it's safe to assume they're identical.
