I was given an emac from a friend it needed an adminstrators passowrd he did not know it. I then tried to boot from the cd-rom that didnt not work. I then removed the tiny battery in the pmu area. I was then able to boot from the cd-rom and installed os x 10.3 it was running great. I then transported the Pc to my home and set it up on my desk. It would not Start up just making a buzzing noise it was then i realized that i had not put the battery back in. I then put the battery back in and tried to run it to no avail. I then reset the system the was its says to on mac support is this computerd fried.

My eMac has been one of the best computers I have owned. Great monitor, flawless DVD-R burning, and peppy when it was new.
Good luck with yours.
BTW, I believe the joke is: Why did the pirate have a steering wheel in his pants?

If you could just fix the last couple sentences in your original post that would allow us to help you more.
Also, have you posted this in the eMac forum?

Now when i try to start the emac all i get is this noise like when you first turn on a tv and get a buzz like noise. Any Suggestions?

This should be in the iMac/eMac forum. However, give this a try:
Unplug the eMac completely, make sure no power is going to it.
Resocket all the components: Take the RAM out, blow a little air, put it back in. Reconnect the hard drive cables.
Plug everything back in.
Start the machine, but hold down these keys right after you hit the power: option + apple + P + R
Continue to hold them down, and it should reboot automatically in a few seconds.
Continue holding them down and let the machine reboot 3 or 4 times.
If it boots up fine, reboot off the Install CD. Reset the Administrator password from the Install CD.
