Any way to get iSight to work with Garageband?

As with many other iSight owners, I've been cursed with the "Sight (Not 44.1)" problem when trying to use the iSight mic with Garageband. I know this is a khz limitation, but is there any way to get around that? I was so pissed to see that when I installed Garageband, and currently I'm stuck using Audio In software to record voice.

I wonder if it's cured the same way Soundsticks are cured.

Try unplugging and replugging iSight while GarageBand is up and running.
