I downloaded and installed MacMAME, but I can't find anywhere where it tells what hardware (which particular consoles) it can emulate.

Can someone please point me to this list? Can it emulate the 2600?

If it can't, what emulator do you folks recommend?

MAME stands for Multi Arcade Machine Emulator. It's for arcade games.

Check out emulation.net for a good list of basically every emulator for mac.

Good Luck!

Ok. I guess that's why they don't bother listing the hardware it emulates -- since it wouldn't make much sense to users anyway.

Thanks for the link to emulation.net . Unfortunately, they don't have anything listed for the 2600... well, not directly anyhow. I guessed the link: http://emulation.net/atari2600/ and it pointed to Stella, though it doesn't look like Stella's had much development done on it lately.

EDIT: Installed stella-12-mac.sit here on Panther and it seems to be working well! Thank you Stella team!
