If you feel sad about it send the family a letter of condolence.
Are you seriously suggesting that public discussion of deceased celebrities, who, by virtue of being celebrities, have in some way affected or impressed a great number of people, is a useless pastime and should be frowned upon or outright banned from the boards?
Who the **** are you, and what planet do you live on?

I'm totally broken up about it. Wait... no, no I'm not. Sorry. I was thinking about the passing of Buell and Saab.

So you know her as good as I do , I'm sure you didn't know who she was until the editor named a few movies that didn't stir much attention when they were released anyway. Clueless with the Aerosmith girl? Green Mile with Tom Hanks? It's sad for her friends and family yes, but they are not on this forum.
The RIP "celebrity name" threads are therefore worthless indeed.

To those who weren't affected/impressed by what she did, yes, this thread is worthless.
To those who were, your arrogance is worthless.

Up until this thread, I hadn't the slightest clue who she was.
Still don't, actually.

I'm sure God had a reason for killing her. False idol worship is my bet.

****, everyone knows she died because of your stupid LHC (Large Hadron Collider). WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW? WHY DID IT KILL SHELLIE?!?
(Hopefully this will push the thread into the PWL, where the Usual Suspects can bitch all they want about religion.)

Pneumonia, and multiple prescription drugs.
Spokesman Craig Harvey said the primary cause of Murphy's death was pneumonia, with secondary factors of iron-deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication. Harvey says the drugs ingested were all prescription medications.
Harvey declined to say more about what types of drugs were involved. He says those details will be released in about two weeks when a complete report is ready.

"Prescribed drugs" could be anything from laxatives to a number of meds that treat anemia. She appeared underweight ("National Enquirer" quality skinny) last fall, and being iron-deficient never helps anything. Losing weight through "flu-like symptoms" could easily take someone that was taking medicines down low enough that their prescribed doses were no longer appropriate.
Overall, it looks like Brittany was sick, stayed sick, and her underlying low weight and anemia made her susceptible to pneumonia. Lots of older people die from pneumonia every year-it's one of the largest causes of death for people with hip fractures. I think it's too bad that so many people jump to conclusions about public figures' lives and events.

I assume she's well decomposed by now.
