me.

Panther is the first OS I have had on a mac, but having used jaguar in the past, It's features are significantly better.

expose is a treat, and the wireless networking 802.1x authentication is a brilliant addition.

Installed about two weeks ago on my 17" Rev A Powerbook. Seems to be working fine except for one minor niggle. I must enter my password each time I unplug a firewire hard drive. Oh, and Virtual PC 5 does not work. But I hear Virtual PC 6.1 does. I tried repairing permissions and using DiskWarrior for the HD but the password deal always comes back.

I've installed Panther since it came out. Now Panther as my primary OS on my Powerbook G4 550Mhz w/512M RAM. Everything works better than Jaguar, I havent had any compatible problem so far.
I love Panther!

Hi
I'm not sure what to do, can anyone give me the benefit of their knowledge and advice please?
I bought a 15" 1Ghz Powerbook on Sunday here in London UK. It was shipped with 10.2.7 - so I've ordered the Panther Upgrade from Apple UK - delivery in maybe 6 to 9 working days!
My dilemma is this - should I go ahead and lnstall 10.2.7, then install the Panther upgrade in when it arrives - or should I just wait a couple of weeks and install Panther then, thus saving myself any potential headaches and chest pains?
Thanks ----- JR

After using it for over a week now, I can honestly say that I don't know how we ever lived without Expose. Simple, yet amazing.
