So Bill Thompson's article at BBC drew me in:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/7200451.stm
...talking about how he likes being online in the countryside, far from Wifi outlets.

And smartdevicesdirect offers some modems (searching at their site on "3G modem")

But... what about Mac compatibility? Must not exist, or it'd be mentioned. And *everybody'd* be talking about it, I'd think.

(And to aggravate the temptation, BBC even shows photo of an MacBook Air beside his column

[ I *did* attempt to "search" these forums before asking... but vBulletin doesn't do search on 2-letter terms (or showing nothing anyway) ]

Anybody got any hopeful news? about compatibility with Mac hardware? Leopard?

3 in the UK does modems like this. There was a guy in the 3 shop the other week trying to get it to work on his MacBook, I suspect they were doing it in Windows though.
