We did this just a few months ago (ok, maybe like 6 or 7), but I'll play along again.

When I was working at an ISP, and just before Napster shut down, about 6 of us put all our mp3s on a network drive. I mapped the drive, logged into Napster and shared the whole thing. It said I was sharing around 30,000 songs. I took them all home with me when I quit, but deleted most of them.

I have 3905 songs, 13.5 days in iTunes now, mostly full albums.

4.4 days, no podcasts, all real music...
I think only 4 albums of that I did not pay money for (either unreleased in Canada or I can't buy it around here or on iTunes)

BTW, is it just me or do others try and add some new music when it get close to a certain number. Like when I get to 9,794, I will want to add 6 songs soon to make it 9,800. Or is that me? ::

The current (as in what I'm listening to these days) playlist has about 6 hours of music. My entire library is 15.5 days.

May just be you. I don't even look at my total unless I'm burning a disk or when these type of polls come up.

It's called being freakishly perfectionistic . I can relate, although not with this specific example.

Those are all the ones that are already backed up onto DVD or CD, only now I have direct access on 2 different computers. So they're backed up twice essentially. That count does not include anything new from the past month or so, since I haven't burned them to DVD yet.
