Larry Wink notes that Symantec has posted a workaround for booting new Macs from the latest Norton Utilities CD:

"Norton has recently (9/5/00) posted a workaround at which basically involves booting from the Software Install (or Restore) disk that came with the new computers and copying certain Norton files to a RAM Disk. I just tried this workaround and it worked smoothly on my iMac 500 DV SE."
