I don't know if this has been asked before, the search function is broke, or won't work on my computer.

I received my PowerBook today, no white spot problem, but the lid doesnt close all the way, and it open on the right side more, is this normal? Could I buy some rubber things like on alot of laptops to make up for the space? Thanks.

I had the same thing before. There was a larger gap on the right side. However, after having my white spot screen replaced, it's not there anymore. But the Apple technician did say to me that it was an easy job in adjusting the lid to lessen the gap.

I've got the same right-side issue on my 15" Al book. I call it the crooked smile syndrome. I've considered braces (rubber stops) but it's not extremely annoying and the little plastic tabs at the top of the lid work nicely in keeping the screen from touching the keyboard. I think I'll live with it for now. My greatest fear is sending it in for this issue and having it returned with another more troublesome one.
Love is a 15" AlBook 1.25 with Superdrive...

my g3 800 ibook and my 12" 1ghz powerbook both have a bigger gap on the right hand side when the screen is closed.

it does not bother me. come to think of it, it does not bother me to the point that i sent my powerbook in last month and completely forgot to tell them about it
