"on getting an adapter to connect new Apple Display Connector displays to older Macs, Tom Renner sent in this reply he received from MARGI Systems:

"Tom - We just got the schematics from Apple for making the [ADC] connector ... and working around the whole power supply thing, it shouldn't be too difficult to make the other connector by November. As for our cards, they all use cables as connection, so ADC doesn't need to be built in. We'll just get to a point where we offer VGA, MD-20, DVI and ADC cables. Hope this helps. I'll let you know when I have a better idea what's going on."
