I have a CoreDuo 1.83Ghz MacBook and am looking to hook it up to a 24 inch Viewsonic VX2435 monitor via VGA. My question is, will this affect the graphics performance of the MacBook? I want to run Photoshop/InDesign/Dreamweaver etc. to do work on the nice bigger screen but not if the MacBook is gonna crawl because of it. Any help would be most appreciated.

None of those apps really use the video card, so it will be fine.

I use a 24" Dell at the same 1920x1200 resolution with my MacBook, and I am very satisfied. My MacBook is the original 2GHz model, so it's only barely faster than yours, with the same video hardware.
