Yeah, it's a zombie. If anyone participated in the "Any latin scholars in the building" topic, this is what it was going towards. I'm finishing it as I get the cash.

Let me know what you think.

How quaint. I'm sure it will look wonderful in 20 years.

That's definitely not the stereotypical MacNN geek look.

Nice work, not sure about the subject matter. Personally I prefer SamuraiDL's work.
Railhead, modern inks don't really fade as much as the used to. So, with a bit of sun block, it'll look as good in 20 years as it does now.

Actually, I meant that most people I know that got ink while "young" regretted having such large tats on their bodies years down the road.

To each his own, of course.

i think samurai is referring to the subject matter. the tattoo itself if it means something to you will still look cool faded (because you'll be a tat veteran rather than a new poser) and can be touched up but I think people change, their sentiments change, their personality grows/evolves... i'm not sure this tattoo can withstand the test of time.

but who knows, maybe the tat reflects him and he'll still love the same music/culture/lifestyle/scene he loves today. personally speaking, i'm 25 and I look back when i was 21 and think how stupid i was. i can't imagine when i'm 30 or even 40!

I can't wait till it's finished so that the full effect is presented. The heart in his hand is being magnified/projected onto the other side of the arm. It will be presented as an anatomical diagram, but rather than having "aeorta" and "ventricle" and stuff like that, it will say "greed," envy," etc... On his tombstone will be "Sic Omes," Latin for 'common man' or 'everyman.' Therefore, it is a commentary on society, rather than just a zombie tattoo.
And my mom thinks it's cool.

You'd be amazed at the body modifications that people have hidden under their suits. (For example, at one invitation-only hardcore body modification gathering, one of the attendees was the CEO of an unnamed Fortune 500 company. Several others were engineers, managers of various levels, bankers, etc.)

So don't make assumptions about such things!

Anthony, great ink.

i wasn't referring to public acceptance. if a person is ahappy with themselves, they should do whatever they want.

i can attest that i am a finicky bastard that is always changing my stupid ways. a "wild" tattoo for me would not be good for my future.

Too cartoony for my taste. Is it just me or is the outline rather heavy too?

I've lived long enough to watch all my mates turn blurry.

Here:

Welcome to the year 2020. That's assuming the colour holds.

I like SamuraiDL's work. I think he's nuts, but I like the work. Finer lines.
