Jordan & Crete Photo Frenzy! [img heavy]

Wassupy everybody! I've just returned from a two week holiday in Jordan so I thought I'd share some snaps. Logic went to Crete and has lots of pics too so eventually we're gonna post them all in this thread.
Picture quality not wonderful due to disaster with cameras! Most of these are extracted from my camcorder...
This was a long and winding road from Amman to Jerash. We went on lots of road-trips and there were many scenes like this. Really needs a panoramic shot to do the views any kind of justice!
If I recall correctly, that was taken nearer the center of Amman.
We were making the journey to Ajun Castle. It is an extremely uphill drive and the car couldn't handle it! We had rented the car and it was hopeless but extremely amusing at the same time  We were having to turn off the air-conditioning just to try and move a few yards! It got quite scary and dangerous actually so instead we stopped and brought Filafals!
The castle is near the top somewhere, I can't find it anymore, you try!

Interesting pics, and welcome back, lbk! Maybe you should post a pic of that car too. (We had a similar experience on one of the steeper Caribbean islands.) Jordan looks like it has some good mountain biking possibilities...

I was happy to send that that car back, didn't think of capturing a snap of that pile of hopelessness! At least it looked alright!
Mountain biking there would be such a good idea as well as extremely exhausting!

This looks exactly like Syria.
Now I know I�m not missing anything not going to Jordan.
