Photos is working great all around, except desktop. For some reason, what I import there wont be seen on iphone later. I've posted before here, elsewhere, still stumped. Hoping someone can figure it out.

Do you have photostream turned on? Are these photos imported from camera or just added to your library manually?

Stream on, all settings on all around. Working great except only desktop when import from hardrive manually to desktop photos app, wont make it to iphone photos app.
The issue does not happen with laptop. Totally stumped. Setting exactly same all around.

Kevs, as always, you really do a poor job describing the problem.
What the heck are you trying to do ?
Import desktop pics into iPhoto ?
How did you get the desktop pictures for import ? Find them in the system folders ?

Spoke long time with Apple today, and the issue is not solvable, but even too complex for me to even explain well. Has to do with fact that mirroring desktop is on between the computers and that photos need a home for images, unlike mobile devices and documents which at least has a hybrid home. Did understand it all but look hopeless for now. The laptop works though, but have to put things on desktop and walk over to the laptop and then put into photos for them to be seen by the iphone.

I more confused than ever. But at least we know you’re trying the impossible.

This issue was solved, moderator can close thread, Apple tech: one checkbox just needed to be checked in Photos preferences to copy images to photos.
