Im curious as to when the search feature is going to be fixed, is there a timeline for this?
I have seen it posted before by other people too. It hasn't worked for months on my Tiger, Xp, win2000 at the office, or vista. It simply never works no matter what OS or what network. I can search just fine on other forums.

Search for less than 4 characters, that's what he means.
It's annoying, because often, you'd wanna find abbreviations like Mac, OS X, Pro, XP etc.
Can we also get 0.5 character search ?
Like searching for dots of an i and uncrossed t's ?

after I have chosen my forum to search and date range, user, etc. I hit search and it just reloads the search page.
clearing all data and not searching for anything.
edit just tried what turtle said. I works for 4 characters or more, I guess I've never searched for anything more than that many.
Usually I use the "find other threads by this user" links when I'm following a thread, this usually takes me to the search page like yesterday, these should be removed if they aren't going to work. ....but the problem isn't reproducing itself today, now when I click that link it just finds post by that user like it should. Dont understand really.

Another problem I've noted before is that search only works when you are logged in. I'm not sure if that is an intended function, as it actually is that way on purpose on some forums. If that is intended, there would be a message stating so.

Yeah, if you aren't logged in, search is totally not working. At all.
