tried the mx900
easy to setup, tracking is sub par for a 100 dollar mouse

now i use the mx500, best mouse ever
very smooth, 8 buttons, great logitech software

I'm using a Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks.

The USB receiver looks like a Bluetooth module. Excellent battery life, and it comes with a nifty carrying case!

I'm really surprised that no one else uses the Kensington Expert Mouse. I love it and it's supposedly one of the best/most ergonomic options out there. It comes in a wireless and a USB model. I have the USB.

usb 2-button w/o scroller. not the typical 2-btn, the main button is large while 'right' button is in the center on top. works really well for lefties or one-button users. it's pricey, i mainly bought it for it's size/weight and it works quite well.

i still have an original clear Apple Pro Mouse that i still really like.

i recently bought a $5 (on sale at Microcenter) Belkin usb mouse that's really small with 2 buttons and a scroller. comes with usb to ps2 adapter and usb extension cord, which alone are worth five bucks. it's not the greatest mouse, i just got it to see if i'd like a right clicker and i use it at work now.

I use the mouse that comes with the Cordless Elite Duo from Logitech: Here. I guess the mouse is the Cordless Mouse Man Optical. The Setup works but I want something different.

that I paid way too much for at Best Buy.

I can't use mice....they just kill my wrist.

I should look into that. My wrist is messed up from computer usage and I'm trying to narrow it down. I've heard that trackballs are better for that stuff?

That Macally bluetooth mouse, the BTMouseJr is out now:

I just bought an Airport Express or else I'd buy one of these little suckers... Anyone got one yet? They look like they'd go along with my 15" very well.

I had one of those. I replaced it with an Apple Wireless Keyboard + Logitech MX900.

I use a Kensington TurboRing trackball when I'm at home and just bought a Targus travel optical mouse with a retractable cable for when I'm on the road. I don't want to have to deal with batteries.

yes, but my ms wireless is not BT, there is one thing really annoying about the m2 software, every time you do a F.U.S. (Fast User Switching) the mouse is uncontrollable, you need to open System Preferences to get it back right.

1 more vote to Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks... what a mouthful.

Great battery life, accurate mouse pointer movement, neat package with the carrying case. I will consider upgrade if they release release a BT version.

Anyway, how difficult it is to make a BT mouse? How come there are not much choices?

I love my Logitech Trackman Wheel. I've fully converted from a mouse to a trackball. It wasn't easy...sorta compare it to my transition from briefs to boxer shorts. What's funny is watching my non-trackball using friends attempting to use it, especially the left-handed ones. That said, I'd really love a bluetooth model to arrive to match my Apple Wireless Keyboard which I love. Coupled with the Griffen iCurve (essential if you don't use an external monitor), it's a perfect setup.

I just posted a review at Technohappymeal. The mouse is very nice. The scroll wheel lights up blue when the mouse is in pairing mode.

I have 30 of these mice in-stock, which I'm selling at a new Bluetooth webstore that I'm opening. The store isn't "officially" open yet, since I'm still waiting to get direct credit card payments set up, but we are accepting credit card payments via PayPal for now.

Macally says that after the first batch is sold out, they can't get me anymore for about a month, so get it while it's available.

If anyone is interested in this or other Bluetooth products, come check it out:

1. Does Apple's Bluetooth preference pain battery meter thing recognize this mouse?

2. Is there a manual shut-off button on the mouse?

3. When I first bought my iBook, prior to my PB purchase, I also bought a MacAlly ice jr mouse. I wasn't happy with it because the buttons on the mouse were so loud that it was distracting to use while in the library. Are the buttons loud on the bluetooth mouse as well? How would you rate them when compared to Logitech's mice?

Yeah, I tried that with my A4 Intuos 2 and it is cool, but to be honest I need more practice.

1. No, the battery meter does not recognize it. I'm not sure if it recognizes any non-Apple mice. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

2. There is no manual shut-off, but the mouse has an auto-off feature that activates when no Bluetooth link is detected. If you throw it in your bag, and the mouse button is hit, it will wake up for a second, determine that there is still no Bluetooth link, and shut off again. It's not like the USB wireless mice that wake up simply by moving them.

3. I don't think the buttons are any louder than the other mice I have here, including a Logitech, a Microsoft, and a Kensington. It's hard to compare it to Logitech's Bluetooth mouse, because the MX900 is a lot larger and not as suitable for travel. It also retails for twice the price.

I should also point out that the tracking is better than the Apple Bluetooth mouse. I let a few Apple Store employees try out the Macally mouse, and they all agreed with me on this.

I fear the more a topic like this grows the more it will be a collection of all available mouse models on the market.

I use a Macally iOptinet with my Powerbook and a Macally icemouse with my Thinkpad. The first one developed the bad habit to interpret a single click as double. The icemouse is newer and still works fine.

I tried out "The Mouse AL" . It looks great, but I kept tapping the right mouse button unintentionally, Iand I didn't like the overall feel of the mouse.

I went with a corded Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer. With 5 programable buttons and both up & down AND side to side scrolling, it seems perfect for my 12".
