Anyone know of a program for OSX similiar to mIRC. I know Ive heard it, just don't remember. And also, I am coming from a PC background, but do any of you use this program like mIRC? Is it safe or Yes or No or what? I don't want to screw up anything. Thanks

Welcome! Versiontracker is your friend:

I just did a quick search for "irc." There are tons of Mac IRC clients. I'm not sure how this is Powerbook relevant.

Sorry, this is just where I always hang out, wasn't really thinking about relevance. Someone please move this to wherever belongs, no trouble wanted here, thanks

i use colloquy, cuz it's nice and simple.

Probably not as powerful as mIRC would be.

Easy.

Get the July 2004 issue of MacAddict.

Go to page 68.

The HOW TO section has a 2 page article on using Ircle for OSX.

iRC is the best replacement for mIRC that I've found. It looks fairly similar and allows for a fair amount of scripting (though mIRC scripts don't work with it to my knowledge). I didn't like ircle because it was very different and only had one box to type in for all of the windows.
