Ive had a MacPro forever, and a logitech USB wireless mouse M705 even longer
I never had any problem w the mouse on the MacPro ( original ) with the USB receiver on the
back of the MP
some times the 'lenz' on the mouse needed cleaning when it started 'jumping' around
but no big deal.
with the USB receiver on the back of the new iMac from time to time I got the jumping and cleaned the lens
it was difficult to reproduce the problem. I had a brand new logitech identical mouse
" in reserve " and started using that the receiver and the mouse are paired.
the initial mouse was quite old.
to make a long story shorter, I had a Flash of Brilliance and used a 3 " USB extender
so the receiver dangles just under the iMac screen, in direct line to the mouse
no more 'jumping' around so it seems the body of the iMac might interfere w the
reception, in an intermitent way.
hope this might help someone as it was driving me crazy.
