Couldn't he sue her for that?
I love Star Wars, this would be a terrible thing to do to me! D:
If I were her, I think it would be best just to break up with him, this is overdoing it .
Good entertainment though, I might add.

I can't be bothered to watch it again, but it sounded like one of the girls said something along the lines of, "you should just break up with him" and the other replied "yeah, I should."

To me, it sounded like she didn't plan on breaking up with him, but rather wanted to teach him a lesson "for pissing off your fiancé". Something tells me that there isn't going to be a wedding when said fiancé gets home from Vegas.

Lame. As a Star Wars fan, I would be pissed. As her boyfriend, I would be outraged.

I have my feelers out trying to find out who that was. There are a few VERY rare items in the case that not many people have.

I noticed that myself. It would have to be someone near Lucasfilm, Rebelscum.com, or TheForce.Net methinks. I noticed some Celebration IV stuff that was very rare and hard to come by for just the average show attender.

How absolutely juvenile. If they do get married, it won't last long in any event. If that's the level of communication and trust they have, there's no point in getting married.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

Just what I was thinking. So immature. There are a lot people out there who are just grown children...basically adults with the mentality and maturity of children. It's pretty sad to see anyone over the age of 18 still having tantrums. If she has tried to talk to the guy about the issue and he is just a jerk then leave the guy instead of doing this juvenile act.

Pretty amusing.

Even though I almost think it's faked, I believe there are losers out there that resemble her fiancee.

Why the hell she's still with him, God Jabba the Hut only knows.

I'd be very inclined to think it's not faked, not after seeing some of the things in those display cases.

Also, that $800 item is sold out.

Destruction of property, dumb. Documenting it on video with faces in full view? Just what the Judge asked for.

Small claims court ought to be a walk in the park for this. Good luck replacing the irreplaceable after he gets paid, though.

The dude's a loser because he's got a Star Wars collection? I don't think that makes him a loser. I know a guy with a few glass cases full of PEZ dispensers, and even that guy's not anywhere close to being a loser.

Why is she still with him? Huh?

Eff a ring anyhow. ESPECIALLY for that girl.

No, but let me see:

Spends all of his money for figurines
Proposes to his gf but doesn't buy a ring
Spends the rest of his money on hookers in Vegas.

Uhm, let me think for a moment...

So what if this was your fiancee doing this to your $800 item?
She'd be given an hour to pack her stuff and get out. Permanently. Not that the chick in question would have made it into the place in the first instance.

Correction: his fiancee assumes he is spending money on hookers. Probably at the suggestion of her friend in the video. Who her fiancee is probably tapping.

Vandalism of this type is immature and petty. Why didn't she say "I'd rather you didn't spend the money to hang out with your friends in Vegas when you still haven't bought an engagement ring for me, and I'm worried about all the strippers and prostitutes there."? No, she waits until he's gone, and uses access he gave her in trust to destroy valuable items in his collection. HE should break up with HER. And sue her.

By the way, YES, people do collect this stuff, and people value such things so much that the $10 "expensive" Star Wars action figure of 1982 can be worth thousands, even tens of thousands of dollars to some. From the look of his collection, he's sitting on six figures worth of items in that collection.

Shenanigans.

Regardless, I can't decide which is a larger waste of money: a huge Star Wars collection, or an engagement ring.

One of MANY reason not to get married. At least we know why he didn't buy a ring, and what makes her thing he's going to get one now? That is some old high school sh*t there, that kinda stuff will get you buried doing that to the wrong person.

Man, that is one hell of a collection there too.

Who said he was spending "the rest of his money" on hookers in vegas? You have proof?!?

And whether it be highly-collectible figurines, or televisions, or COMPUTERS, or cars, or whatever the heck else, people spend money on things that they enjoy. I wouldn't buy that chick a ring either.

It would be funny if he went to Vegas to get the ring, comes back, and....oops.

Still have feelers out. Someone on Rebel Scum said it was his girlfriend but never posted again. Not sure if it was him or not.

I agree. That collection included pieces that are probably older than the girl. It's not a recent hobby with him; he had most if not all of the collection before he even met her—it takes a lot of time and patience to collect that much of anything. So if they're engaged, what ring does he get her, and why hasn't he bought it yet? Is it because he's saving up for a house? Because he's got student debt out the ears? Is he going to Vegas with his friends because they're paying? Lots of stuff isn't discussed in the nasty girl's rant before destroying his property.

There was a good point brought up in the YouTube comments....

Although I still doubt it was fake, the biker scout could have had an imperfection, the owner asked for a replacement, and the video was done for "shock value".

EDIT: There's chatter about the fact that SSC has in fact asked customers to destroy collectables when issuing a replacement. Hmmmm.... it could be fake after all.

Bingo. Proof that they have asked for items to be destroyed:

No, you don't need a ring. My wife didn't get one, but she didn't want one either. We did the German ring thing (get the actual wedding band, wear it on the other hand until you get married, then switch over to the other hand once you are married.)

But the point here is: she wanted a ring, she expected a ring, she feels like a ring would express that he loves and cherishes her.

Well, he FAILED at expressing that. He probably could have done it other ways, too, but obviously, he was to busy collecting plastic.

This is nonsense. Of course I don't have proof. I started my first post with saying that I think it's all staged.

But in case it wasn't, we have to take things as they were presented. To discuss "what if" scenarios is dumb, we can go on forever coming up with our own theories.

I'm just working with the material presented.

Assuming it wasn't shens, the whole dynamic of the whole described situation is amusing. Plus it will be even more amusing when her next boyfriend finds this on YouBoob.

childish. i don't know if the guy is even worse but both of them can stand some maturity before committing to marriage. the guy should put his priorities in order before asking for marriage and a ring is a custom that is usually followed... maybe he should have either waited or sold some memorabilia before asking.

I vote fake. Something about how they acted that I didn't buy.

That being said, I don't even like when my wife MOVES my stuff. And I mean, like a few inches from where I put it. If she maliciously smashed something I value she may have to take a dirt nap.

He might be a bit of a loser but she is a bigger loser for
1) Sticking around with him
2) Marrying him
3) Showing everyone in the world what a loser she is marrying.
4) Showing everyone in the world what a loser she is.
