does anyone know if it is at all possible to run a quicksilver Dual 1000 in a Digital audio machine?

Hmmmm. Good question.
The main (only?) difference between the two boards is that the Quicksilver carries extra power pins for the higher clocked CPUs. Although it may work, I'd be wary of the extra current draw required of the on-board regulators. Of course, this may only come in play under high load.

Haven't tried it, so really can't give you a definite answer. Without knowing what the actual specifications are, it's just a guess. Want to be the guinea pig and let us all know?
