i think there is something wrong with my 2d acceleration on my Ruby iMac. When I am in iTunes, the visual equalizer (the thing with the bars that move with the music up where it shows the song title, etc.) goes extremely slowly, until I hold the mouse down on a switch or something else like the volume control. the thing works perfectly then, but as soon as I let go, it goes back to being lethargic. the same thing happens in GrooveMaker, where the moving things are lethargic until i hold down the BPM adjuster or the volume control.
i have the same problem while playing Oni. the 3d accl. is fine, but as soon as I hit F1 to bring up the console it acts like it is frozen, but about 10 seconds later it comes up.
i have tried deleting the monitors preferences, and doing a complete re-installation of Mac OS 9.1, but nothing seems to help

please! help!
