Patriots are going to win the Super Bowl. Everyone on that team could be dead and they'd still be the favorites to win the Super Bowl.

EDIT. your predictions are all ****ed up. The Patriots cannot play the redskins and the steelers cannot play the bears. NFC/AFC.

Your teams are still messed up.....

You have the Bears beating the 'Skins in the NFC Champ. Game... then you have the Skin's losing to the Steelers in the SB....

Man... you're tough on the 'Skins... having them lose twice in the playoffs

I'm with you except the Patriots may pull it off against the Broncos. That's a big maybe, though.

Game 1) SEA over WASH

Game 2) NE over DEN

Game 3) IND over PIT (but PIT covers spread)

Game 4) CHI over CAR

I'll take the Over on all the games except Seattle, too....

Superbowl: IND vs. SEA, Seattle wins when Shaun Alexander goes insane and breaks a ton of records.

EDIT: I can't stand the Fox pre-game shows, for any sport. Does anyone actually care how Jimmy Johnson's hair looks this week?

I thought about that -- the Super Bowl is in a dome this year, and Indy likes domes -- but I think Peyton has some big-game problems. After all, the main reason that Indy hasn't been in the Super Bowl before now is that they have trouble winning playoff games in New England. He'll beat the Patriots at home to get to the Super Bowl, but throw one or two too many interceptions in the Big Game.

I'm very familiar with big-game problems. I'm a Bills fan.

I picked yesterday's games correctly. The bye team has a big advantage. As for today:

Colts
Panthers

It's hard to pick the Bears/Panthers game. The Bears are a little overrated because of their offense, but the Panthers are inconsistent. Turnovers are always important, but they're going to be even bigger in that game. If the Panthers don't give the Bears short fields, they should win.

Now that my Patriots are out, it no longer matters. So now there is next year.

Seattle has the same problem. You never watched a Seattle-Rams game before this did you? (They are the masters of the choke)

Fixed.â„¢

You're also wrong. If anything, the Eagles (my favorite) are this millennium's Bills. They have the best record of the decade, the most playoff wins, but they lost 3 straight championship games (2 as the home favorite) before getting to the Super Bowl. Even that isn't really enough, because the Bills went to four straight Super Bowls.

I'm right with you. Bucs loss was disheartening, but not unexpected.

I have proof (my predictions were on Newsvine) if anyone doubts me, but I had:

Denver over New England
Pittsburgh over Indy
Carolina over Chicago
Seattle over Washington

Next week, the Denver/Pittsburgh game will be a war. I think my Broncos will win at home and head to their record 7th Super Bowl. Denver 24, Pittsburgh 17.

Seattle and Carolina will be a good game too. Steve Smith is a monster. But, assuming Shawn Alexander comes back, we'll see Seattle coming through. Seahawks 28, Panthers 21.

Super Bowl Sunday, the old AFC West division rivals Denver and Seattle will go at it with Denver winning 35-21.

How is that a record? The Cowboys have been in 8 Super Bowls.

The general consensus in my workplace this week was that if Ben started out like he did in Indy and the Steelers get a good lead, they'll win the game. He did, and it looks like they will, although they're making it interesting again in the fourth quarter.

Hahahhaahahahaha! The Broncos choke yet again, restoring my belief in God and the Baby Jebus. Thankfully, I will be spared further Broncos drivel dominating local radio and television! After a few short days of mourning (which I personally thrive on), no more discussion of the Broncos! Hooray! Thank you Pittsburg!
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

I miss living downtown I walked to Lions and Tigers games from my loft...

However, I've made a couple trips from the 'burbs already and it is pretty fun. The only things I have planned right now are: Friday night, Kid Rock; Saturday afternoon, a few bars. I'm hosting UFC fight night Saturday night and a Super Bowl party Sunday afternoon/night so won't be down there for those times.

I have several Steeler fan friends coming in from Pitt too, but probably won't see them, even to crash for a few nights if need be; as they are just 'winging' it and will 'manage'. I'll see them at the bars Saturday afternoon, but other than that...hehehe. They are mad too I don't live downtown anymore. Oh well.

Well, I have a soft spot in my heart for the Steelers. I WANT Jerome Bettis to conclude his career with a Super Bowl victory. I really admire Bill Cowher and Ben Rothlisberger is one of those QB's who come along very infrequently in a generation.

He will become one of the NFL greats. One of the legends who'll be waiting for their entry into the Hall of Fame five years after he hangs up the spikes.

Great team. Great story.

However, there is an undeniable force surrounding the Seahawks that I could mention but I don't want to jinx it. So, I'll just say this...

Seahawks will win the Super Bowl on 02-05-06.

I just say a prayer that all the players and everyone there will be safe and emerge without injury.

Gotta go along with that - pathetic job by the refs. And what's up with the ratio of Steelers to Seahawks in those Lomardi trophy spots? That was weird
