Some time ago I read an article at MacFixit by Erik Kennedy about how he managed to get his imac DV to sleep under OS 9.1. He mentions and has posted on iDisk some extensions and applications from Mac OS CPU 3.2 Software.
First, I have had a bit of success here, but with 9.0.4, using the Energy Saver Contol Panel 3.0.4, which is good in that you can set to sleep after no more than 10 minutes idle.
I have since avoided 9.1, frustrated as I am, and I am satisfied with 9.0.4.
My real question is this: What is Mac OS CPU 3.2 Software, and why are version numbers of those items posted by Erik so much higher than those included with Apples 9.1 update download?
I do not have an email address for Erik, but if he is out there, I hope he sees this, as he seems to have knowledge in this area.
