Entourage locks on startup and won't force quit either

Rebooted my G4 at work today (10.1.1) after installing the new WindowShade X, and now Entourage won't start up. It just bounces there in the dock, and eventually stops bouncing but never gets to a splash screen nor is the little triangle beneath it. But if I try and force quit, it shows up in the force quit dialog -- but it won't force quit. I also can't kill it's processes via top and the "kill" command. Process viewer has no effect on it either. I eventually have to hard boot the machine because logout times out before it can finish, so restarting or shutting down are out of the question.
The only thing I can think of that's changed is WindowShade X, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't conflict...at least it doesn't on my iBook, also with 10.1.1. I'm stumped. When I get to work tomorrow I plan to try deleting the Entourage prefs and then reinstalling Office to see if either of those work, but I'm not sure that they will. If anyone has any suggestions, that'd be sweet.

Well deleting the Entourage prefs did the trick. Nice to see that troubleshooting technique carries over from the "old" OS.  Anyway, just wanted to note this in case anyone else has a similar problem.

The same thing happened to me after installing WindowShade last night. After uninstalling WindowShade, Entourage loaded fine.
Curiously though, restarting didn't seem to help. I had to completely shut down. Also, I noticed that not just Entourage, but none of my Carbon programs would run. Weird.
