That's what a salesman told me. Everything I've read in the Apple Tech Info Library says no, use only unbuffered, non-ECC, PC-100 8ns SDRAM. Of course I side with Apple's recommendations for their own products over those of a swarmy salesman who only wants to earn my commission. My only hesitation is because the manual may have been written before PC-133 was on the scene. Perhaps Apple only wanted to ensure I don't use PC-66 RAM or slower? I'm currently using 320MB of PC-100 RAM. Mix and match? Can PC-100 and -133 get along in the same machine? Will there ever be a single Unified Field Theory? Oh, sorry. That last one is for another forum.

I'm using a 64 MB PC-100 SDRAM DIMM and the original 64 MB chip in my Beige G3 tower right now, so I guess PC-133 mixed with something else would be ok. Try asking in the forum at www.xlr8yourmac.com too because that site is primarily for upgrades.
