If a man called you an arsehole and told you to get the fruck off after you pointed to him the no parking from 3-7PM sign, and that he was blocking traffic by parking where he was; what would you do?

I'd call a tow truck service to boot his car, then call the cops so he gets ticket.

I would have hurled profanities right back.

But to begin with, I doubt I would have said anything if he hadn't been there long. Sometimes people just have something large to move or drop off, and in urban areas it can be difficult.

I wouldn't have told him anything in the first place. I don't bother much with humans... it's a waste of time.

Easy, call the police non-emergency line and report a parking violation.

His reaction indicates he was well aware he was in the wrong. If he'd been in the position Cold Warrior mentioned, he'd likely have said "I'm about to move it!" so I'm discounting that possibility. Calling the police non-emergency number has a lot of benefits. Mr. Foul Mouth is less likely to be violent with you if he's hurriedly moving his car to avoid having it towed, and it adds a bit of salt to the "OK, I just tried to help" you say after he flings the vitriol at you. Bonus points to capture video of him going whack when the tow truck arrives and of course posting it on You Tube...

But I certainly wouldn't take seriously a jerk's reaction to having his jerkiness pointed out. His wheel of karma will be developing plenty of speed as it inexorably aims to run him over...

If it were me I'd park in the lot across the street, call the non emergency number, and get him ticketed, booted, and toed.

Toed? Where? The kneecap? That's a better target for a kick. And why not kneed instead of toed?

Tee hee... Don't we all love homophones? (Not the device one calls the local gay guy with...)

You should have never pointed it out to him. Wait til he's out of sight THEN CALL THE COPS.

So, you think that he'd be an even more douche, and try to find me and sue me for "disturbing the peace", for simply pointing out the sign?
