Is there a way on my powerbook to set it so that after it has been asleep, like when I close the lid, when I wake it up, it goes to the screen that you get when you log out. This will ask me for my password and just seems like something that I could do to protect my stuff a little more. Thank you.

On Jag, you can't do it. What I'd do is set a "hot corner" to activate the screen saver, and use a password for the screen saver.

Then just move the mouse to the "hot corner", wait for screen saver to activate, and put 'er to sleep. This works, but it's a bit cumbersome.

In Panther, the functionality you want is built in. And the password is managed by "loginwindow" rather than by the screen saver, which means it's safer (with the other approach, you could do a remote ssh and kill the screen saver and you wouldn't need a password, but with loginwindow managing it if you kill the session you'll log out the user.

Wow Mithras, that was almost horrifically helpful.

Yeah Fellow... I've used SleepTight. There might be others.
