I am a former PC user who always skinned my GUI macish. I am now a Mac user and really miss this theme I had for my PC. It is basically just another color variation of Rhapsodized. I am trying to convince Max to include it with the Panther update of Rhapsodized. I just want know if I am the only one that would use it, or if anyone else thinks it is nice. These screenshots are from my PC earlier this year.

So.... yes or no?

Well.. It's basically Rhapsodized with new colors. But I do like the colors. If I was still INTO Rhapsodized, yes. I probably would. I used Rhap for a long time back then.

But I am now into Aluminum Alloy, so no, I won't use this.

Just how did you get the text to look so nice? Is that OS X or XP? The text looks like windows...hmmm! Yeah its elegant but needs more time in the shop before it can grab looks in the show room. Let me congratulate you on your progress thus far... : D

I don't really like the look of it too much, I like Swiz's new GUIpod theme. Now that is nice looking

That IS Windows. Which is why it looks really bad actually. I can see all the little flaws Windows has that Themes can't cover up. Yeah.. I can tell. I'm that good.

I was replying to Temple who had the impression that it was a Mac OS X theme.

I quoted him. Didn't you read his reply?

I did read what he said, it sounded like you were implying that you were a god at deciphering whether or not themes are OSX or XP.

I was just reiterating the fact that he (Fellow2000) said it was from his PC. Don't get your panties in a wad.

Actually, I am a God when it comes to that.

And also, it doesn't matter if you were reiterating it, I was pointing out that templetaker thought it was OS X. I wanted him to know it wasn't. Is that so wrong?

to point the thread back on topic, the variant is actually pretty nice. The main reason I like it though is mostly because it isn't white or gray.

That is exactly why I am in love with it.

It matches so many wallpapers that I have over the years that are not white or grey but have brown, green, khaki and beige in them.

Hey guys! Well I didn't get here for the earlier controversy. I was able to tell that it was windows after a longer observation. It might sound weird but that's one thing I miss about Windows, the thin text, without drop shadows. Something about that thin text makes the overall aesthetic seem faster, more accessible? Maybe I'm just day dreaming on this one. lol! Well at any rate I still dig the fact that someone wants their XP OS to look so much like OS X. Thats a great compliment for Apple.

i dunon i always find windows xp style fontage to be quite awful, esp cooltype just makes the edges look tatty, and the desktop drop shadow texT (at default size) is next to illegible. also
geneva beats verdana
and
helvetica beats arial

that is actually quite a nice looking osxish copy, didnt make the amature and stupid mistakes some people do that make it just look laughable. Well i say looks but after being a big fan of the windows custo scene back to when litestep first came out and such i know theres a big diff between how a windows desktop looks in a screenshot and to how well the diff interface actually works

I used it alot on XP, but I don't think I'll use it on OSX. I'm sticking with Smoothstripes.

BTW, this XP-port of Rhapsodized (including color-variation) was made by Dazzla, but the Ivory-colored version was never officially released. So there.

Actually Dazzla and I both made versions and this one is mine. The only reason it looks like his is because the objectbar skin I made, I used his apple logo. But everything you see there was mine.

ahh.. sorry about that. I see now that the min/max-widgets are on the left side, not on the right. This is a windowblinds-skin, right? Dazzla made an msstyle.

No, it is an msstyle, both dazzla and I made msstyles. So far as I know, no one has made an ivory wb port. I was simply using another program that I also skinned to place the widgets on the left.

There are three things skinned there, the VS, objectbar, and the titlebar program. (Sorry I cannot remember what it was called.)

No pressure on Max at all... I'll have to start posting mockups with "if Max made it" in the subject.

What are you talking about? Mockups? This is already his theme, simply a different color variation. There is no pressure on him at all. I have offered him money to do this job, I simply wanted to find out if others would use it or if I am the only one that likes it. There has already been private communication that you are unaware of. Would you suggest someone else use his graphics?

Why don't you take the negativity somewhere else. If you don't have anything constructive, why post?

I love the look of this. I love the tan colors with the old classic style widgets. I also like how simple it is without being grey. whether you get enough votes or not, this theme should be created. There are a lot of themers out there not just these nay sayers

Thanks!
