...the original Apple Studio Display, that old blueish-greyish-purplish color, was? I'm trying to replicate it for a project i'm working on and can't seem to get it right.

Or the Power Mac G3 may be the right color: http://macdesktops.com/?category=13&...&search=Search

no no no, I'm talking about the studio display that came out at the same time as the very first wallstreet G3s and PowerMac G3s. Before Apple came out with the iMacs et al. We're talking G3 All In One era.

yes, the one that DanTheMan posted was the one I was refering to. That is *the* original studio display, which debuted during the Beige G3/Wallstreet era in 1998. It was a 15" flatpannel LCD display, one of the first on the market.

It also had a distinctive purplish blueish color to it that was not carried on into other product lines.

Thanks for the pic, Dan.

Although that is a cool display, there is ONE more that i don't think anyone commented on. It was pre the blue and white G3's, but it was a blue display. It had RCA outs on it, as well as VGA. I've seen maybe 3 on ebay over the past 5 years. i'll see if i can find a pic for you all.

I Know to which you refer. What I was attempting to do was come up with a pheasable theme to go along with the Studio LCD display we have been discussing.

I loved that coloration and it came out about the same time as OS X began its life in beta, so I was hoping to pay homage to that. If anyone has any thoughts on this, please don't hesitate to offer them.
