I havent completely migrated to 10.6.4 using 10.5.8 instead

in my latest migration I notived that QT that come w 10.6 (v -= ?) has a pretty ugly and intrusive slider bar that takes up the some of the screen itself

ive noticed this is a 'new' thing with lots of movies software ie Elgato Eye TV

is there a way to set the 10.6 QT to not put the slider bar over the screen and more or less run QT as the v runs in 10.5.8:

many thanks!

If you like the 'old' QuickTime Player better, you can get it under 10.6

Installing QuickTime Player 7 on Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard

There's an easier way to get QT7 into a Snow Leopard Mac - I just figured this out the other day myself. If you try and open a .qtz file on Snow Leopard, the OS jumps onto the Internet and downloads QT7 - presumably these file ares unsupported in SL. I didn't have a .qtz file on my Macbook, so I copied any old file on my Desktop and renamed it: filename.qtz. When I double clicked, the OS did all the work and installed QT7 onto the Mac.

I paid for QT7 Pro some time ago, and I was missing all the nice export features, so this trick got me up and running again.
