Hi. I have a wireless network @ home.
2 of my PC laptops connected fine and am able to surf.
My powerbook is able to connect to the same wireless network. However I am unable to surf. Pages don't load up. I am a new APPLE user so I am not sure what I should do.
Anyone?

Check your network preferences to see if you are getting a valid IP address from your wireless router (192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x; not 169.x.x.x). If you have a 169 address, try renewing the DHCP lease to get a new IP address. If that doesn't work, and this machine has never connected, you may need to change settings on the router to allow the Powerbook to connect.

Try going to a coffee shop and seeing if you can connect there. That will eliminate issues with your home network set up.

How do you renew IP address on the mac? Wireles worked before when I had a different modem. However I swap to a new one.
I know in PC CMD> Ipconfig /renew.

Go to System Preferences, and then click on the network interface that you want to use (Airport, I assume) and then click advanced, and then click TCP/IP, and then click Renew DHCP Lease.
If you turn airport on and off, then it has the same effect.

I found the release DHCP button. However it does not work. NO idea why. They only think I change was to a new modem (not my wireless router.)
Anyone?
