Hi guys, just got my powerbook. I'm in the process of running azureus a p2p, what i'm downloading isn't important (its legal... i swear). But i'm trying to keep my powerbook on and conected to the internet to keep that program online, but i'd like to have the monitor off, is this possible?

im thinking never for comp to sleep in power settings, but leave display to sleep on. am i right?

the screen will turn off automatically after a while. You can also turn the backlight off with the brightness buttons on the top-left of the keyboard. The machine will keep running.

there are settings in display or screensaver under prefernces (system) to have it just turn the monitor off and not go to sleep. I had to do that so it would continue to DL battlestar galactica on itunes last night

yeah i got it figured out now. just a curious question, right now i got it set on if its idle for only a minute the screen will turn off. will this kind of on and off be bad for the pb, and is it wasting more energy for the screen to turn back on than it would for it just to stay on? im still trying to configure the best power saving settings.
