New shortcut for google search in some software

I just found that using command+shift+L (ONLY WITH RIGHT SIDE command and shift) will start a google search for the highlighted words in at least Omnioutliner, safari, aperçu and textedit. It doesn't work with Mail, Word and Filemaker. What I really like is that it open the search in a NEW tab, better then choosing google search by right-clicking on a word in Safari.

You just discovered the joy of "services".
1. It works with the left-hand keys, too. I just tried it.
2. It's a standard Mac OS X service, so it works in all standard Cocoa applications. Look in the application menu (e.g. Safari) -> Services to see all the services that are available.

It works with both the left-sided and right-sided keys on my 12" iBook (10.4.3).

It also works in Carbon applications that support Services (Finder, iTunes, TextWrangler to name a few).
