Is there someone (here or else) that is working on a monitor spanning hack for the IBook 500 (rage)? Is it even possible?

I wish! I understand Apple seperating the diffrent lines of laptops but I REALLY need more than 75hz refresh on my crt!!! Please please!!!!!! I'd be happy with simply getting 85hz on the ext monitor!

"worth it" hmmm.. I'd have to say no.

Yes it makes it faster.. but there is a REALLY high chance you'll kill your ibook. Unless you've seen resisters as small as these before let me tell you there freeken small.

I had a pro at work with #0 soldering irons and an eye glass do the reisistor moving for me.

If I where faced with doing it again there's no question I'd sell it on ebay and take the money and get a new one!

Don't do it.. sell yours and buy another, it's just not worth it!
