Hey wait that should be

I'd vote for ya MacosNerd. Though you'd get hecklers with your sig. And I am not sure current moderation approves of it either.

I hear ya and that's fine about the hecklers, they don't bother me here in the intarweb or in real life but then we already established I don't have a real life I don't push my faith or religion but yet by the same token I'm not ashamed of it. I was thinking of changing it to some sort of Christmas theme but I haven't gotten around to it.

Can we nominate people who fight all the time so they would have to keep their fights backstage?

I would not vote for macosnerd. I believe that he can take sides to frequently, which isn't always a bad thing. People need to know where they stand. However, in this respect I don't think it's ideal. A moderator needs to be open.

I also think that Chuckit would be a good mod of some of the technical threads... Maybe somebody like Charles or GoMac too... Also, Abe.

You're actually the first and only person that came to mind. Shame about the Scandinavian part, though.

If you haven't figured out, I really like using the word scandinavian.

Thanks, but I don't want the job. For starters, in the coming months I will not have the time. Secondly, I have difficulty with rules I don't agree with, and I'm somewhat of a polarizing figure. I'm not liked by a few members in here, and haven't found a way to deal with them. I seem to have difficulty retracting the apparently irresistable magnetic force that draws them towards me....

My wife sometimes lets me be the moderator of the house though, usually when she is not there.

On a completely serious note, Dork. would be a perfect lounge mod if he wanted the gig. He's one smooth son of a bitch, and nobody hates him...

On a non serious note, Brassplayersrock would be an excellent mod of a euphonium section of this forum which I've been thinking about pitching...

I nominate Oisìn for his ellaborate code and Doofy for being a good sport eventhough I disagree with his political stance. He was the only person to welcome me to the forums. People remember stuff like that, you know. Both strike me as smart, I like reading what they have to say and they're both quite good at grammar.

No, I wouldn't. I've never even reported anybody for not liking APE — it's not against the rules. You seem to have some really odd ideas about me.

I think APE gets an unfairly bad rap — there are problems associated with it, but it also does some really cool stuff. In the cost/benefit analysis, I can see things working out in APE's favor for some people. That's my opinion. I also think people who personally insult the developers of APE without even knowing them are taking their feelings about a piece of software too far and ought to take a step back. I don't spend all day searching for APE threads or anything. If I see something that I disagree with (like "APE is 100% bad" or "Windows is worth the discs it's imprinted on"), I'll argue my point of view. If I see somebody being personally attacked without good reason, I defend them. That's pretty much it.

Anyway, I'm sorry if I came across as that cruel. I had already forgotten about the whole thing. I don't have anything against you in general — I think you're a smart guy and generally one of the more courteous people here. I was actually thinking of nominating you in this thread, but I figured you have too much of a life. I suppose my replies in some of the APE topics were overly blunt — I'm not good about judging that sort of stuff in general, and it's harder on the Web. So I apologize.

Ah yes, I also nominate analogika for the technical forums. Great and indepth technical knowledge, competence, and extremely patient when responding to people's inquiries without losing patience explaining the inexplicable to the novice Mac user.

I've tidied up the thread. Let's not drift too far off-topic here, since we need to monitor this thread for nominations and related or n: commentary.

I haven't either, seriously. My first post was meant to be a joke, though it seems to have kind of backfired. It would have worked better if Rob had posted it; my somewhat aurea mediocritastic posting style probably made me the wrong person to make it.

It’s a good word to use. Except when you start out with, “Shame about...”. (<-- imprudent to call people bad names in a thread about mods )

I nominate Oisìn for his ellaborate code

Tidied, again. This thread needs to remain available to anyone interested, not filled with unrelated discussion.

Oh and besson3c, the title is equivalent to "Excellent Nominations go here". Lower-quality nominations can be posted in another thread if anyone wished to do so.

Honestly I can't really think of ANYONE that would be good, that the mods would agree to use. Most of the real decent people have already left.

And I've been really thinking too.
