Suddenly today, when I go to Facebook on my iPad, I get the wretched mobile site. Up until today, I’ve always gotten the desktop site. Is there any way to force The desktop site to load?
This mobile site is horrible. I can’t so much as figure out how to get to my front page. I generally don’t go to Facebook, but my neighborhood operates via a Facebook page.

I use the app, I'm afraid.

I asked this question elsewhere and discovered that if you hold down on the reload button in Safari’s address field, you’ll get a popup to request the desktop site. Who knew?

Well, the “hold the reload button” trick doesn’t work with Facebook any longer. Come hell or high water, if you’re on a mobile device, you’re getting the mobile site, period. No matter how large your screen is.
