If there's any truth to the overall shape of this story, I've got to give them bonus "troll points" or something. It's such a weird choice.

I'm not even saying it's a choice which would lack effectiveness, I'm just saying its... weird.

Article totally sucks a bag of dicks.

So this applies to all non-American countries?

I know you very desperately want a narrative about terrorists all residing in the Middle East, resenting America, and having these problems, but not all Middle Eastern countries fit your mould, and not all terrorists reside in the Middle East. Just recently there was a shooting in Ottawa, Canada. Is Canada the first country you think of as harboring terrorists?

Embrace the complexity, BadKosh.

99%? Except for a relative few within the Far Eastern religions, everyone desires wealth. Wanting to go to Heaven where you receive a palace, servants, and 72 virgins = wanting wealth.

Wealth relative to what?

The palace/servants/72 virgins sounds more like a fantasy, sure we all fantasize about this sort of wealth, but our fantasies don't always shape our behavior. If I were single I wouldn't mind 72 women jumping on my dick either, but I'm not making plans and decisions based on the hope that this will happen.

Desire of obtainable wealth and wealth related fantasies are different things.

A specious argument, since so many have proven they're willing to kill and die for that "fantasy". You may not understand the power of religious influence, but that doesn't mean that power doesn't exist.

In case you've never heard it:

Money can't buy you happiness - but neither can poverty.

A happy medium is just fine. Thank you.
