The very first one was appalling; after that I improved a bit. Still only so-so:

(Note the 0.0, though )

I did worse than that on my first try.

But with a little practice and a positive attitude, you might just become as totally frickin' awesome as me in this very important and world-changing game.

Notes:

1) It helps to remember the point that is the closest to all three sides is the intersection of the angle bisectors, not the perpendicular bisectors (whoops)

2) After going through the steps once, my average was pretty good. After doing it twice, my average went way up (especially after I got a 17 on the last test ). I'll take my 4.39 and go to bed.

6.30 - with a couple of 0.0s and crushing 20+ scores.
But it's late, maybe tomorrow I'll do better.

Figured being awake and not doing this at three in morning while lying in bed might be an advantage:

Was doing so well, until I royally screwed up that blasted convergence thing in the second round and dipped far below 2.

Made it to that top ten thingy, though:

Having slipped up and also not understood one of the tests properly I got an abysmal score.

However, I can eyeball a 1/16th of a an inch deflection in a 20 foot long beam so I think my eyeballing skills are excellent, just not in this 2D mouse-driven game.

That would require me actually logging into XBL, which I haven't done since I made the account. Unfortunately, focusing my time on awesome manly things such as motorcycles, women, and Modeling and Analysis of Dynamic Systems has left me little time for kiddie games.

I really hope this isn't as good as it gets...I'd assuming things will be a bit better in a couple years when I actually have a salary and a chance to pay off some of my debt.

-Up at 7, shower get ready, bike to class by 8.
-Actually pay attention in class, still do poorly on the quiz because I decided to go to bed by 12 instead of continue studying
-Work from 9:30-5. In that time, write a lab report, read two books and write a report on each of them, due by 6:00 tonight
-Class again from 6-7:30
-Meet with lab partners from 7:30-8:30 to work on lab report
-Participate in online meeting via AIM from 8:30-9:45 to discuss group project progress
-9:45+, begin working on prelab assignment for lab tomorrow, research topics for discussion in class tomorrow, think about starting super-long prelab assignment for class Thursday, but give up and go to bed

Repeat.

Oh yeah, another fun fact. I spent a good portion of last Saturday working on group projects and not reading the books that I have to turn in reports on in 4 hours. I went out for a few beers for my roommate's birthday, then went back to the campus computer lab to finish some simulations at around midnight. Luckily the computer lab is open 24 hours.

4.49 first try. Not bad. I wonder if the artists did better than the mathematicians.

It's really not about math, there aren't any figures to work with. At best, the mathematician can tell me what shape I'm looking it, but it already says that at the top of the screen. Anyway, here's my eye:
