In the past few days, every time I open a document in Word, the view/page layout has a strange blank space at the bottom of every page, and I cant make the window bigger or smaller.

I have been through all the preferences and help menus, and cannot seem to fix it.

Is there a way to just reset all settings to original default settings?

Please help

I actually just fixed the problem - My friend happened to call and talked me through it - basically deleted the preferences file for Word in the Library.

Thanks for the offer of help though

HI everyone,

I still am having problems with my MS Word - It keeps splitting my pages into 2 sections with all the data at the top and a huge empty space that you cant do anything with at the bottom.

I have made a screenshot using one of my photo pages on a new site - ignore the layout of the page but you can see the Word part and maybe know what is causing this.

A friend suggested i delete the preferences file in the library which fixed it for a while but it keeps coming back like this time and time again.

Anyway please help if you can - its driving me crazy!

I think I would trash office and reinstall it.

Applications>MS Office 2004>Additional Tools>Remove office
