This is driving me nuts.

Im reading a PDF, and I want to have another copy of the Same PDF open next to it on a different (non sequential) page. Whenever I try to open the file a second time preview just brings the already opened one to the front.

I know a couple obvious work arounds, such as using Safari to view the second copy, or actually making a duplicate of the same file to view, but none of this extra work should be necessary IMHO.

Anyone know how to get preview to open the same file Twice?

Cheers,
-V

It seems perfectly logical to me. One file, one open instance. Doing it the other way is completely counterintuitive and confusing. Just duplicate the file or use another PDF application (Reader, PDFview.

I'm with you Velda. Just another example of the software imposing an unnecessary restriction on the user.
