I have a Mac Pro and from reading threads in this forum, I decided to purchase a USB 2.0 card to add some more USB ports. I purchased a Belkin USB 5-Port PCI card. It doesn't fit. It says it works with Macs on the front of the box. What do I need to purchase to make it fit?

Wow, what's the reason they command such high prices? I'm just trying to get rid of a hub to make my desk look nicer. This is a rip-off at $70.

Several reasons. One is that USB 2.0 cards also work in machines that don't have USB 2.0 at all. Another is that the total bandwidth is higher, as all the units on the hub get to share one channel of 480 Mbps while a multiport USB card adds at least one more USB channel, often more.
