Can a floppy drive from a LC III replace the floppy of a PowerMac 4400?

I need to replace a 4400's floppy and have an old LC III laying around.

I believe they are both the same manual inject type of floppy drive. The drives should be the same, but there might be different mounting brackets inside both machines. It shouldn't be too hard to try to swap brackets. You'll just have to give it a try and see if it works.
